CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR for residential projects.

Contract position for 6 to 12 months, with potential to convert to direct.

Background in water and sewer systems construction is required.

Inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications. Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of installations and layouts. Verifies levels, alignment, and elevation of installations. Examines quality of finished installations for conformity to standard and contract documents. Interprets blueprints and specifications for construction and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction. Records quantities of materials received or used during specified periods. Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports. Computes monthly estimates of work completed and reviews payment for contractors prior to Engineers approval. Prepares sketches of construction installations that deviate from blueprints and reports such changes immediately and ensures changes are incorporated into record drawings.

EDUCATION: A 4 year degree is not required. Will also consider and Engineering Intern with an interest in working into an engineering position will also be considered

Must have authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
