External Job Description:
Provides direct managerial and supervisory leadership with design personnel performing piping system detail design functions in accordance with Command Media processes and procedures to ensure delivery of quality engineering products. Responsible for the performance, development and direct supervision of detail design personnel. Responsible for development and scheduling of all products developed in Marine Design for the piping systems being developed. Responsible for the integration of detail design products with other design disciplines.
Additional common management responsibilities as listed in Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001 within command media (SBMC 0001) and applicants should review the Charter and policies and procedures before applying for position.

Position requires full knowledge of Pipe Diagrams, Detail Design Drawings and knowledge of related Ship Specifications. Candidate should also have knowledge of 3-D Ship Constructor.
