Job Details:

  • The PI Analyst is responsible for and leads the process improvement efforts for SMH by effectively identifying improvement opportunities and initatives through LEAN Six Sigma, project management, and other performance improvement methodologies. The PI Analyst leads cross-functional teams to perform Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Systems Analysis (SA) with the outcome being recommendations and implementation of process and systems changes to more effectively serve SMH's stakeholders. Identifies and analyzes trends in data reported to prioritize and lead performance improvement initiatives. Leads cross-functional teams in FMEA, RCA and SA activities and process interventions. Reports recommendations and findings to senior leaders as appropriate. Ensures improved recommendations are implemented, and that processes are continually evaluated using a process improvement methology such as PDCA, DMAIC, etc. Appropriately uses statistical and analytical tools and methods in evaluating process and system performance, data from various sources, and designing/re-designing processes and systems. Evaluates process change using quantitative and qualitative measures, including financial, service, and quality metrics. Required: Computer skills required for data entry and retrieval of information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Proficient with Windows-style applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Excellent judgment, organization skills, group facilitation skills, decision making, and delegating skills. Self-directed with the ability to work independently, set project priorities, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Excellent problem-solving skills to determine unique solutions to situations as appropriate. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred: Master's Degree, 3-5 years acute hospital experience. Required: Bachelor's Degree, certification in Lean Six Sigma, experience in project management, statistical and analytical tools, including process mapping.
